CourseStorm was proud to announce the SPARKed Grant Program, a grant-based program awarding $10,000 in micro grants for education programs between $500 and up to $2,000 each. The application was open to any educational organization or business providing learning opportunities to the public, including for-profit programs. The deadline for applications was December 31st and awards will be announced in February 2023.

“Investing in informal education programs through the SPARKed program is our way of underlining our commitment to helping these types of programs grow,” CourseStorm Co-Founder and CEO Brian Rahill said. “Considering our own roots as an entrepreneurial start-up, we know the value of someone believing in your mission and helping it grow.”

Apply for the Micro Grant for Education Programs

Organizations that applied were eligible to receive a micro-grant between $500 and $2,000, a boost that can spark a big difference for informal education programs.

In keeping with CourseStorm’s focus on simplicity, programs applied to receive a grant by filling out a short application form. Applications were open until December 31st. To have been eligible to receive a grant, programs must have been new to the CourseStorm platform and taken their first student registration by January 31.

“We wanted to make this accessible to all,” CourseStorm Marketing Manager Nic Lyons said. “There are not many grant programs available to informal education providers–I think we may be the first one, actually.”
