Today, I’m excited to give you a sneak peek into some cutting edge stuff we’ve been working on in the CourseStorm labs. Specifically—AI-powered reporting!
We’ve begun to apply the latest in artificial intelligence technology to helping you solve day-to-day problems and we’ve been blown away with the results. I hope you agree! Read on to learn more and see the demo.
A New Technology
As you’ve probably seen on the news, there have been some really exciting developments in artificial intelligence (AI) over the past 9 months. One company in particular, OpenAI, has received a lot of attention for the release of their breakthrough application, ChatGPT, which people are using for everything from quick answers to writing entire essays.
What you may not know is that the same technology powering ChatGPT is also available to other engineers and developers building their software—folks like us!
Over the past couple of months, our team has been experimenting with this technology and dreaming up new ways to put it to use in CourseStorm to help you save time and enroll more students in an impossibly simple way.
Reporting, Supercharged
One area that has been of particular interest to us for a while now has been in reporting.
Though we offer incredibly robust exports for all of your data in a simple download, we know that not everyone is an Excel whiz who can derive insights from that data.
During our investigation into future reporting features, we also learned that while everyone agrees reporting is important, there’s no one set of reports that meets the needs of all of our customers.
To solve this problem, many companies create what we’d call “The Wall of Form Fields.” These large forms give the user ultimate control over their data, but at the cost of an overwhelming and confusing user experience. Not what we’d call impossibly simple!
And that’s why our team got so excited when we started to experiment with new AI technology. Rather than have people conform to the technology through “The Wall of Form Fields,” using AI we could finally make the technology conform to the people!
So we got to work and our team built out a proof of concept to demonstrate how to take this fantastic new technology and use it for CourseStorm reporting.

What’s Next and When It Will Be Available to You
We’re very excited about this new technology and the ways in which we can use it to help you save precious time. We plan to bring this technology to all of you as soon as we can to get your feedback. There’s just so much opportunity here that we can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself!
